Auditing manufacturing processes

Auditing manufacturing processes
1 min read

A manufacturing process audit is a systematic and structured evaluation of how a product is made, focusing on whether the production process is being performed in accordance with standards, procedures, and customer requirements.

OMS provides you with services for planning, performing, and reporting on the audit of the manufacturing process based on an internal standard or one proposed by OMS.

Auditing process

  • Define audit scope (product, process, sites, plant area, so on).
  • Prepare audit plan
  • Conducting the audit – optional: Opening meeting
  • Documentation of findings, conclusion and audit report
  • Repeating the audit in cases where the minimum level is not reached

Audit standard: we recommend using the VDA 6.3 structure and the requirements of this standard grouped into the following similar categories: Project Management, Development, Supplier Management, Production, Customer (according to VDA). If you have a different approach, we will discuss it and apply it during the manufacturing process audit.
